In writer-director Ari Aster’s horror film HEREDITARY, Toni Collette stars as an artist struggling to cope with the death of her mother, with whom she had a fraught relationship, as well as the tension at home with Gabriel Byrne as her husband and Alex Wolff and Milly Shapiro as her two children.

In recommendations, Mark Pfeiffer selects the unrestored 70mm print of Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY that is currently on tour.  Paul Markoff chooses a journey of earthly indulgences with director Malcolm D. Lee’s comedy GIRLS TRIP starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Tiffany Haddish.
